LORD MAKE ME RELEVANT AND USEFUL FOR YOU

Mat 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mat 5:14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS……

1. Lord I am grateful for knowing you and fearing you. Give me the focus to seek to please you for the rest of  my life.
2. I am grateful Lord that  you can use me and you will use me.
3. Daddy, from now I consecrate my life to serve you and affect my community.
4. Whatever you have said that I am, that  will I be  and live  that way in Jesus Name.
5. As the  Lord Lives, I will be a salt. I will add value to the Kingdom of Christ.
6. From now on, secretly or publicly – Help me Lord to walk in Holiness and righteousness.
7. Give me Lord power to do that which is right all the time.
8. I will be consistently relevant. I will not lose the flavor of God in my  life.
9. In the name of Jesus, you will not have regrets on me as your child.
10. I will not be cast out due to irrelevance.
11. “ Good for nothing” – I reject that. I will matter for the Lord.
12. I decree every servant of the Lord will live according to  your word and please you.
13. Let men see you glory in me and through me.
14. Everything that has been hindering me from becoming what you want me to be – remove it in Jesus Name.
15. Lead me to where I will project the Lordship of Jesus.

16. Lord, cause me to shine.
17. Let your intensity in my life manifest outwardly.
18. Make me a contact point for men to see the Calvary and the power of redemption.
19. Let me stay where you have placed me – up on the hill.
20. Remove everything that is making me invisible.
21. Light me up with the fire of the Holy Ghost. Please Lord
22. The lamp serves the men in the house, Let me begin to serve those you have assigned me to.

BONUS PRAYER POINT

Mat 5:16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

23. Let the Light of God in me shine enough to make a difference.
24. Let the intensity of your power in my life and that of my family make us untouchable to the kingdom of hell.
25. I beseech you Lord for a life that carries your glory!
26. My quest is for everyone  that I have assigned to make heaven and be accountable to you on their behalf – Lord help me.
27. Lord Whatever it will take, I will  make Heaven!

REVERSING THE IMPOSSIBLE

Est 5:13  Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.
 

Est 5:14  Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
 

Est 6:1  On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
 

Est 6:2  And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.
 

Est 6:3  And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.
 

Est 6:4  And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.
 

Est 6:8  Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS……

1. Daddy, I am grateful because my end will not be determined by occurrences around me only but by your counsel.
2. Lord, I am grateful that you are the Almighty and you have the last say in my life and the life of my family.
3. I decree that every plan of the devil against my destiny will fail.
4. Every intention of Hell to thwart your purpose in my life, Reverse for my good in Jesus Name.
5. I reject every unprovoked attack in my life and on my family.
6. Every avenue that the kingdom of darkness has decided use to cause all that you have given me pain, block it Lord.
7. Every agent of the devil that has a resolve not to rest until they have caused me pain, destroy their resolve.
8. As the Lord lives, I will walk in Peace for the rest of my life.
9. Jehovah Sabaoth, fight for me.
10. Lord stretch your had and  grant me rest from all that is causing me pain!
11. Every eyes that sees me and plans to hurt me, Lord remove them from me.
12. My children will be free from the every form of monitoring forces.
13. My marriage will be free from persistent attacks of anger and sin.
14. Lord, anyone that has covenanted with the devil not to rest until we are “hit”, arrest him Oh Lord and keep him busy.

16. Surround me oh Lord with the right people that gives the right advices.
17. Every “evil wives” and associates that has no positive impact in my life and that of my family – separate us.
18. Every strange affiliation in our ministries and churches that does not glorify you  - separate us.
19. Every suggestion that will cause me to continue on a wrong path – Abort it oh Lord.
20. Every operations and plan “over the night “against me and my family member, Abort in Jesus Name.

BONUS PRAYER POINT

21. All planned meetings for “tomorrow” that will destroy your original counsel for my life, terminate such meetings.
22. Where  it matters – Lord speak for me.
23. Anything pleasing to me that is outside your will – reveal it in Jesus Name.
24. All comfort zones of sin – expose it Lord.
25. Let me not give instructions that will destroy others . Help me to be a builder and not a destroyer.

1. Thank you Lord because there is hope for me.
2. I am grateful that despite the fact that it’s been a long time that I had seem to remain on the same spot, your favor will move me forward this year.
3. Let this night be the night of change for me and my family.
4. The Power of God that overrides all other powers that works in the night, let it work for me Lord.
5. Wherever it is, send help to me from there.
6. Whatever it is, send help to me to take care of it me.
7. Whatever the reason, Let mercy override it.
8. Release discomfort to stir up the spirit of anyone you want to use for me.
9. Lay a burden on my heart of what you want me to do for you that is strong enough to cause me sleeplessness until I obey.
10. Father, make me relevant to my family and fellow Christians.
11. Whatever I need to do to bring down your glory in my community, lead me into it.
12. Help me to do good, help me to contribute enough to be noted in “The Book of Chronicles” in the heart of men.
13. Whether I like it or not, I will matter and affect decisions in my community.
14. Let the book of records that will alter my direction positively be read somewhere and somehow.

15. Help me Lord to speak when I need to.
16  Whatever I need to do as a Christian to reveal evil and cause harm to be avoided, help not to shy from it.
17. Jehovah! Speak up for me.
18. Every harm been planned for me and my family – open it up!
19. Daddy, cause me stand up  and be counted when it matters.
20. Everyone that seeks to lay  hand on me – Expose them  Lord!
21. Every hidden thing that the Kingdom of darkness want to use to cause me pain, Lord reveal it.
22. I am grateful for I know my remembrance has come.

Est 6:8  Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS……

1. Thank you Lord for your plan for my future.
2. I am grateful Lord that you can always reverse what the devil has planned for me that is not good.
3. Lord remember me. Please remember me and open my heavens.
4. Daddy whatever honor and dignity that you have planned for me but has been taken away from me – Lord  restore.
5. Raise a voice to speak for my generation.
6. Declare a new thing that will reward the efforts that has been put into every project I have done.
7. Everything in the past that I have done positively but its yet to affect my future, let it begin to count Lord.
8. Daddy anything in my past negatively that is been used by the devil to set me back, Heaven reverse in Jesus Name.
9. Let me and my family be a light for the Gospel.
10. Prepare and release a correct answer for anything that is requested on my behalf for me to make progress.
11. “Every nothing done for him “concept for me and my family, Lord correct.
12. Every act of grace and favor shown to me, reward whoever they are with greatness.
13. Let all dryness and all forms of failure end in my life.
14. Let one event that will wake up all that has been dormant in my life happen this week.
15. Lord before this month expires, complete all that you have started in my life.

16. Let the “evil plan” become the “breakthrough exit” for me and all that concerns me in Jesus name.
17. Teach me to know you are working it out your own way and be at rest.
18. Make me see that those who oppose me can be used by you for change in my life.
19. From now on , I receive the spirit of liberty to know and believe that there is hope and it will not end like this. We will finish will in Jesus name.
20. We pray for all of  servants of the Lord that you will help them to be bold to preach hope!
21. Every meeting intended to “ finish” me, abort it in Jesus name.
22. The word says every gathering that is not of God will be scattered – Lord let it be for me and my family.

BONUS PRAYER POINTS

23. I receive by faith the apparel of Royalty and honour.
24. I receive by faith the “horse” or vehicle of greatness in my own life too.
25  I receive the crown of  success for all my efforts this year and beyond.

The Unlocked Door - Authored by Robert Strand

In Glasgow , Scotland , a young lady, like a lot of teens today, got tired of home and the restraints of her parents. The daughter rejected her family's religious lifestyle and said, "I don't want your God.  I give up.  I'm leaving!"

She left home, deciding to become a woman of the world. Before long, however, she was dejected and unable to find a job, so she took to the streets to sell her body as a prostitute.

The years passed by, her father died, her mother grew older, and the daughter became more and more entrenched in her way of life.  No contact was made between mother and daughter during these years.  The mother, having heard of her daughter's whereabouts, made her way to the skid-row section of the city in search of her daughter.  She stopped at each of the rescue missions with a simple request.  "Would you allow me to put up this picture?" It was a picture of the smiling, gray-haired mother with a handwritten message at the bottom: "I love you still...come home!"

Months went by, and nothing happened.  Then one day the daughter wandered into a rescue mission for a needed meal. She sat absent-mindedly listening to the service, all the while letting her eyes wander over to the bulletin board.  There she saw the picture and thought, 'Could that be my mother?'  She couldn't wait until the service was over.  She stood and went to look. It was her mother, and there were those words, "I love you still...come home!"  As she stood in front of the picture, she wept.  It was too good to be true.

By this time it was night, but she was so touched by the message that she started walking home.  When she arrived it was early in the morning.  She was afraid and made her way timidly, not really knowing what to do.  As she knocked, the door flew open on its own.  She thought someone must have broken into the house.

Concerned for her mother's safety, the young woman ran to the bedroom and found her still sleeping.  She shook her mother awake and said, "It's me!  It's me!  I'm home!"

The mother couldn't believe her eyes.  She wiped her tears and they fell into each other's arms.  The daughter said, "I was so worried!  The door was open and I thought someone had broken in!"

The mother replied gently, "No dear. From the day you left, that door has never been locked."

Jesus is the door to heaven and He is open to your entering in. You much reach for Him to enter... and He will welcome you with open arms.

Have you entered into the grace and mercy that He so lovingly gives?

I wrote earlier about former President of Egypt – Hosni Mubarak and how he lived in Denial at http://www.evangelistbee.com/2011/02/whats-is-this-when-to-stop-living-in.html. I mentioned how he was not alert and sensitive to the fact that he had to move on because he lived in denial of the current realities around him. I to was motivated to learn from him and move forward. We need to face the truth and confront the reality around us and stop the denial.

Mubarak manifested another symptom of people living in the past – Invincibility. When you spend so much time on the same spot, you will soon stop seeing threats. You will begin to feel untouchable. Some years back, the scenario in Egypt could not have happened. The truth is that this is not years back, this is now! Mubarak had power- Raw power. He had emergency power for thirty years! Power to arrest, kill, maim without anyone been able to question him. I wonder. 

If an “emergency” law lasts for thirty years, for how long will the normal law last? There is a proverb where I come from that says – “ If a man uses twenty years to prepare for and rehearse madness, how many years will he use to manifest the madness itself” Only God is Invincible. Only God is untouchable.

WISDOM SERIES PART 3 - LORD, I NEED YOU – GRANT ME WISDOM TO BE RELEVANT AND EFFECTIVE!

1Ki 10:4  And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,

 
1Ki 10:6  And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.
 

1Ki 10:7  Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
 

1Ki 10:8  Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS…..

“1Ki 10:4  And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon's wisdom, and the house that he had built,”

1. Thank You because when you help a man, it becomes visible. Let your hand on my life be visible in Jesus name.
2. Lift  up my head that I may represent you for the rest of my life.
3. I reject every worldly irrelevant wisdom in Jesus Name.
4. Every act of foolishness repels men and repels blessing. I reject foolishness in Jesus Name.
5. Make me walk in wisdom that produces positive godly results for me and my home.
6. Queen of Sheba saw what Wisdom built for Solomon, Daddy let your wisdom built positive things in my life, home, ministry and relationships.
7. I decree that everything that Wisdom has built for my family, foolishness will not destroy it in Jesus Name.
8. From now, I prophesy the path of my life will be positive.
9. I decree that my today will be better that my yesterday.
10. I declare that my tomorrow will be better than my today.
11. I prophesy that my best is yet to come.
12. I announce that whatever I am now is the least I will ever be.

13. Give me wisdom that births access.
14. With your wisdom, I will access uncommon greatness.
15. The report of the effects of wisdom in my life will be real and true in Jesus Name.
16. The wisdom of God in my life will be visible from afar.
17. Now is the time. Make me come in contact with uncommon people filled with divine wisdom.
18. Every association that I carry that does not please you, separate us Lord.
19. Let the legacy of the Lord in my life transcends  nations.
20. Let my acts and behavior conform to your standards.
21. Whatever it will take, Lord I will not disappoint you.

22. Let my eyes see  your glory!
23. Let my eyes see the full manifestation of your power!
24. Lord let me live a life of heavenly testimonies.
25. One of the effects of godly wisdom is divine prosperity – PLEASE give me wisdom that makes one to prosper.
26. Make me and my family exceedingly great!

BONUS PRAYER POINT

28. Wisdom that protects against pain, give me oh Lord.

2Ki 4:1  Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
 

2Ki 4:2  And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
 

2Ki 4:3  Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
 

2Ki 4:4  And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
 

2Ki 4:5  So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
 

2Ki 4:6  And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
 

2Ki 4:7  Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
FATHER IN THE NAME OF JESUS……

1. Thank you my Father because in Christ, there is hope and will always be hope .
2. I am grateful Lord that I will not be confounded.
3. From now, I receive strength to believe that even in the midst of confusion, Heaven will come through for me.
4. Thank you because the morning will dawn a new beginning on my dark night.
5. Wherever I am, whatever my history is, let it be certain that I will be a certain man/woman you will help!
6. Let the years I have served you be remembered for good and not evil.
7. As the Lord lives, I will not ridicule you Oh Lord!
8. Shame will disappear from me.
9. Lord, against all odds, deliver me from debts.
10. Cause me Lord to know that you will meet my needs so I won’t compromise.
11. Grant me access to cry when I need to. Hear my cry Oh Lord.
12. Let me live long enough to make provision for my family.
13. Let me be an asset to my family and loved ones and not a liability.
14. Bless me indeed that I will not transfer debts to the next generation.
15. Send and speak return and reward to the works of my hands that I will have something to show for walking with you.
16. Every void in my life due to the absence of a loved one, please fill it Lord.
17. I cannot weep forever, clean my tears Daddy.
18. Send unto me men of God that carry Unction to help men. Lead me to them.
19. Let me leave a legacy of service that can be a point of reference for my family and community.
20. Preserve me from double jeopardy. Let the stretch of pain, cries and disappointment end in my life and ministry.
21. In every area I am losing out – Intervene oh Lord
22. I will not know the pain of losing my children.
23. Lord, it is you that gives rest – Please give me rest.
24. I and all that you have given me will not enter into bondage.
25. The Power to be free and to walk in freedom – Give me oh Lord.

1. Thank you Lord because you will release the fresh word that will turn my life around.
2. Thank you for always being faithful to give me instructions that has always helped me.
3. Lord put an end to the famine of the word in my life.
4. From now on, I will not be deaf spiritually in Jesus name.
5. Everything that has kept me from hearing you and following your leadership, remove far from me Oh Lord.
6. My Father speak to me, Please release the word.
7. Grant me clarity of purpose and direction.
8. Help me to know  and identify what I have left no matter how little.
9. When you ask me Lord, Help me to know what to say  and how to say it. Give me utterance.
10. When it is time to speak – Let me not be quiet Oh Lord!
11. In my house, use whatever I have for your glory in Jesus name.
12. The power of Nothing, deliver me from it.
13. There is something left, Help to value it!
14. The things that seems inconsequential in my life, use it Lord for your glory.

1. Thank You Father because I have HOPE, I see HOPE and I know there is HOPE.
2. Lord I am grateful that in the midst of everything, it will be well with me.
3. Grant me the courage to be obedient to every instruction you have given me.
4. Everything in my life that kills Obedience – remove in Jesus Name.
5. I declare that I will trust you for the rest of my life with direction. Your options are safe even when they do not seem to make sense.
6. The same place( home, office, church etc) that I have cried and have been hopeless will be the arena for my miracle in Jesus Name.

It all started on the 25th January 2011. Everyone thought it was a joke. This cannot be happening here too. It just happened in Tunisia. It was harmless. It was small. It looks like a child’s play. However, it took a life of its own. In a week it became something else. I took more notice, the day Anderson Cooper, the CNN’s wonder journalist was attacked at Tahir’s square. After that day, CNN relocated him. He has been everywhere and his hair distinguishes him and makes him visible. He was in Haiti when the earthquake struck. He was in Louisiana when the oil spill got to gargantuan proportion. However this was tough for him too and we saw more of Hala Gorani after. Once it got to that level I knew there would be no going back. This scenario played out in Egypt when the populace – the youths started protesting for change. They were asking for the past to move. 1. Thank you Father for seeing me through to this year, I am grateful for the gift of life.
2. My Father, You deserve all the glory for helping me in distress last year, Thank you because you will do the same this year.
3. Thank you Lord because you are real. Thank you for the power of prayer and that praying works, Help me this year to be faithful in praying and waiting on you.
4. Thank you Lord because I have access to call on you this year and that access will never be closed by Hell, devil, sin or disobedience.
5. Thank you for being a prayer answering God. Thank you Lord for listening to me always.

17. This year, Let every pulpit that truly represents Jesus be committed to preaching against Sin and its power. Shut down every pulpit that preaches heresy!
18. I pray for every minister of the gospel struggling with Sin like David, Lord give them strength to overcome.
19. This year I will not fall.
20. This year I will not compromise.
21. Lord whatever I might have done in the past that has brought unpalatable consequences upon me, let mercy reverse it.

20. Lay your hands on my life for good.
21. I renounce and reject every law that contradicts your purpose in my life.
22.  Wisdom brings respect, Let your wisdom bring respect in my life.
23. The wisdom that will make men listen to your word from me as I preach the Gospel – Give me Lord.

1. Thank you Lord because Godly wisdom never fails and there is free access to it from you.
2. Wisdom makes the difference in all that a man will do – load me with keys to be a difference and to make a difference.
3. I want a level of wisdom that breeds and smells excellence all the way – Daddy give me.
4. Let divine wisdom promote me!
5. Everything in my life that kills wisdom, uproot in Jesus Name.
6. There is a wisdom that is uncommon for success in life and ministry, Lord, pour it into me.
7. Cause me not to walk in foolishness for the rest of my life.
8. Wherever my location is, give me applicable wisdom to RULE for you.

I started writing this on the "sea shore". That's what the pretty Ghanaian Lady  Security  guard called it when I asked her to open the gate that connects  the back of the Hotel to the Atlantic Ocean. Don't get scared. I was not planning to swim. Who “born” me? The best friend I have ever made with water is in the bath tub. After that - I pass.  I have been doing this every morning since I got here. Its been a 3-mile/ one hour prayer walk just  yards off the tip of the Atlantic. This morning was going to be special. I had just concluded a 2- day/3-session preaching marathon and felt I needed to spend more time today to thank God for proving himself and honoring His time tested word. Then I saw something for the second time in two days that got me upset - really upset. Let me use an American saying courtesy my daughter - "I was raving…." You finish it! It’s not from my mouth you will hear it that way.

WHAT IS THIS? WHAT KIND OF MEN ARE THESE? MIGHT IS NOT POWER !

I had to write this. I had to say something about this. I am pleading that God will speak to someone’s heart. I hope God will encourage A MAN who will choose to do the right thing. The burden I intend to express here was based on three different events recently that made me to ask the question, “WHAT KIND OF MAN AM I?” I will only relate one of the events here.

My phone beeped. It was during my end of year retreat. I was rounding up the last lap of a prayer session and came to the phone. I picked up the phone and I read the text message that came in. It read, ”IF I DIE NOW, I THINK ITS BETTER THAN TO BECOME A MAD PERSON” Who chooses death on new year’s eve?

2010 - THE  YEAR OF UNCOMMON JOY AND REJOICING

Every year teaches different things. Every  year has its own peculiarity. I had been thinking of what I will share to wrap an awesome year like 2010. This morning, I woke up quite early even though I slept very late. I woke up with a bang - sharp and refreshed. In 2010, I found hope again. I found direction. I found inspiration. I saw and I walked in the path of wisdom. I met some and left some. I fell and I rose. Indeed, life is full of seasons. It is written

“Ecc 3:1  To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

The currency we all have is time. It is the currency of the poor. It is the currency of the rich. Apart from life itself, I feel it’s the only thing that all are given equally and you can’t buy more or less of it. You cannot bribe or “settle” to get more of it.  It cannot be reduced or increased but it can be traded for shame or honor. It can be used well or abused. Time can be raped until it’s irrecoverably devalued.

END OF YEAR BULLETS - PRAYER POINTS

Dan 4:3  How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.

A kingdom is a territory, a domain, a city, a realm controlled  by a king or a ruler. Our Kingdom is ruled  by the Lord Jesus.

When talking about His kingdom never ending, we are saying that his Kingship does not expire. He is not a military leader – no coup can remove him. He was not installed by democracy, the senate cannot remove him  by two thirds vote. He is not a traditional king who will die as He lives forever and ever and ever! However, His kingdom and the effects of His kingdom can be weakened if  his subjects and wards do not do what they should do or if they do not even understand the dynamics of the kingdom.

 
PRINCIPLES OF THIS KINGDOM

1.    RULES AND PROTOCOL

This kingdom is governed by order. We have a constitution. It is the word of God. No new revelation supersedes the constitution of our kingdom. The extent to which anyone will go or enjoy the kingdom is a function of the word you have uploaded in you. You cannot thrive in this kingdom without His word.

Our GENERATION is finding it more and more difficult to understand the faith of our fathers. The truth is no longer been preached. The truth been preached is watered down.We are focusing on the minor and not the major.There is order and there is a protocol in this kingdom.

Righteousness comes before breakthrough! 

Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In the first part of these series we asked the basic question of whether some of what people do and call Christianity is correct. In the second part we discussed the red flags that can alert us to check whether we are about to become a victim of a strange and concocted version of Christianity.

In this last part of the series, we will look at why people start or perpetrate things that are not scriptural in the name of Christianity. Why are we vulnerable? What can we do to discourage this trend by looking at the root causes? My desire is that we will read with an open heart that the Holy Spirit can work on.

Rev 2:29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.


1.        PAIN AND NEED

In the scripture, we saw that a lot of people came to know the Lord because they were in need and they wanted the needs met. There is a measure of desperation in human nature and psyche when they need something – immediately and most times urgently. Blind Bartimeaus cried with all his might because he realized that his chance of getting his sight was sliding away as Jesus was almost getting out of reach. There was a strong sense of urgency about the need for change in his lot and destiny.

Over 900 people died after being Poisoned

While preparing to write this sequel to the question “ s this Christianity? Is this not foolishness or plain purposelessness?”, I watched  CNN  Soledad O’Brien special feature on Jim Jones and the mass murder he carried out in Jonestown, Guyana. He did it in the name of religion and it increased my sense of urgency. I believe there are red flags that can be spotted to know if one or  a loved one is gradually getting into any strange and concocted version of Christianity. I believe there are symptoms that are indicative of underlying tendencies that we need to be sensitive to.They are sometimes subtle  but  there are clues that are visible and should be respected. If  these red flags  are observed and the hints they proffer are  respected, these strange versions of  Christianity will not be able to thrive! More lives will be saved from the kind of pain the 27 year old I mentioned it the first part of this write up went through. Will knowing these red flags eliminate the trend completely? No. It will save you at least. You cannot prevent a bird from flying over your head but you can prevent it from building a nest on your head. I will be using recorded facts from the  Jim Jones story  and the young woman's story mentioned in the previous write up once in a while as a reference point to show what these red flags are.
