LORD SHUT THESE MOUTHS!

It was a wonderful prayer meeting. Hundreds of women gathered to pray. They meet once every three months. If you had never been to a place where women only pray, you might not have seen an outstanding prayer meeting yet. It lived to its billing. I prayed and waited on God that He will visit and He did. The tap of prophetic unction was fresh and running. These women were placing a demand on the flow of the power of God. A lot of it is still flowing in the course of this writing even though its days after. You are not reading this by accident.  As we read, we will agree together in prayers. When I was going for the prayer meeting, I had a set of preset "bullets" - prayer points I wanted us to deal with. 

As the program started, I began to get a quiet nudging to use Queen Vashti’s story in the book of Esther instead to lead the prayer meeting. I resisted as I wanted to stick to my prepared prayer points. I sensed and knew that I would struggle for the rest of the night if I don’t comply. This simple story of Queen Vashti’s dethronement after weeks of partying and reckless madness by her husband (the king) has stayed with me and I will show you now where it has led me and left me with more desire to pray!

It was not her fault. The Lord will preserve you from the negative effect of other people’s madness and error in Jesus Name.  Everyone that God has place over your life will not be an agent of pain in Jesus name. Her husband, King Ahaseaurus was drunk. He did an exhibition for six months and called a party that lasted for one week. He gave liberty for excesses and wantonness

Est 1:7-8  And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king. And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man's pleasure.

He asked his wife to come and "model" and show off her beauty to the other drunkards. I decree in Jesus name that your spouse, your acquaintance will not fall into error in Jesus Name. They will not thread the path of error! They will not associate with men of error!  She refused and that got the king angry. Her chance was still 50-50. Why? The king was confused about what to do. The king called the wise men.  Out of about seven "wise" men around the king, one spoke! That sealed her fate. Why? When he finished, the king concurred. The

man's name was Memucan! At that moment whatever Memucan said was final. 

Est 1:21 And the saying pleased the king and the princes; and the king did according to the word of Memucan:

This has led me on a journey in the scriptures to search for the kind of mouths that Heaven needs to close. Irrespective of whatever we have done and whether we are guilty or not, most times, our destinies are decided by some mouths that are opened – somewhere, somewhat, privately or publicly!

MEMUCAN'S MOUTH - THE SEED OF DETHRONEMENT

That is the kind of mouth I am here to raise alarm about. These kinds of mouths must be shut – particularly spiritually. They must be rendered impotent. Had he not spoken or had he told the king to ignore what she did, the king would have listened because he was a respected man and a respected mouth. It does not matter, every mouth that will be used by hell and its cohorts to cause un-invited havoc in our lives will be closed in Jesus name. Memucan's mouth was a mouth of pain! His was a mouth that destroyed other people's destiny! Queen Vashti woke up as a queen but in the evening she had become a commoner. Your lot can only change for the better in Jesus name. The glory of the latter house will surpass the former - That will be your portion in Jesus name. Mouths like that of Memeucan have convincing arguments that sways decision makers to dethrone people from their positions or posts.

Est 1:17-18  For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not. Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.

Based on this argument He recommended a dethronement.

Est 1:19  If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

I decree in the name of Jesus that every mouth that recommends our dethronement and divorce from our assigned places be closed in Jesus Name.

JONADAB’S MOUTH - THE MOUTH OF SIN AND PAIN

Amnon was in love. We all fall in and out of what is called love once in a while.  Most times it is lust. We think its love. Once we know its lust, the bible asked us to flee. 

1Ti 6:11  But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Lust and love are similar. They look alike and behave alike but lust is superficial, temporary and ephemeral. Love is deeper, permanent and internal. Lust is at best illicit and illegal. Love is appropriate and moral. No matter how Holy and "strong" you are, when its lust, you have only one response - flee! You cannot stay around lust and lustful people and manage the relationship – it will consume you as a matter of time. In Amnon's case, he was in “love” with his step sister - abomination! Infact this infatuation got him sick! Lord have mercy!

2Sa 13:1-2  David's son Absalom had a beautiful unmarried sister named Tamar. Amnon, another of David's sons, fell in love with her. He was so much in love with her that he became sick, because it seemed impossible for him to have her; as a virgin, she was kept from meeting men. (GNB)

Every strange disease afflicting our souls is bound and removed in Jesus name. However, it was clear that he was managing his "condition" until Jonadab showed up in the equation. 

2Sa 13:3  But he had a friend, a very shrewd man named Jonadab, the son of David's brother Shammah.(GNB)

Jonadab's mouth was a mouth that was better shut. As far as Jonadab’s mouth was shut, Amnon  was okay. When He spoke, he started a chain of event that led to a life wrecking catastrophe! Not only in Amnon’s life but in the whole household of David! One Sentence destroyed a generation. I hope you now understand why am so burdened about what kind of mouth speaks around us. What did he say?

2Sa 13:5  Jonadab said to him, "Pretend that you are sick and go to bed. When your father comes to see you, say to him, 'Please ask my sister Tamar to come and feed me. I want her to fix the food here where I can see her, and then serve it to me herself.' "(GNB)

Amnon followed the advice. His sister diligently offered to help his sick brother. Amnor raped Tamar. Even in that culture, if Amnon had spoken to the king to marry her step sister, it was permissible. Tamar even offered this clarification to Amnon.

2Sa 13:-13  "No," she said. "Don't force me to do such a degrading thing! That's awful! How could I ever hold up my head in public again? And you, you would be completely disgraced in Israel. Please, speak to the king, and I'm sure that he will give me to you." (GNB)

Love waits! True love will wait and not abuse. True love respects the opinion of the other party to wait. If you wake in the night to eat your breakfast, you will go hungry in the morning. Maturity is the ability to delay gratification. However, he could not hold back his animalistic instincts any longer because Jonadab’s sermon had set them on! Unfortunately, he regretted it once he completed the rape and hated her. That’s classic lust scenario. This is the principle that sexual deviant materials like pornography and adult rated movies uses. They suggest things to people’s mind that becomes a monster later in people’s mind.

2Sa 13:15  Then Amnon was filled with a deep hatred for her; he hated her now even more than he had loved her before. He said to her, "Get out!"

All this was activated by the fact that someone spoke! Absalom, Tamar’s brother killed Amnon, his step brother for raping his sister.

2Sa 13:28-29 and instructed his servants: "Notice when Amnon has had too much to drink, and then when I give the order, kill him. Don't be afraid. I will take the responsibility myself. Be brave and don't hesitate!"  So the servants followed Absalom's instructions and killed Amnon. All the rest of David's sons mounted their mules and fled.

Why do you need to pray? Jonadab, the owner of the mouth that suggested the act is still alive. However the effect of that sentence uttered stayed with the household of David forever.

The Lord will shut every mouth that spill sin, demotion and pain. He will give you the wisdom and spirit of discernment to decipher such mouths from afar in Jesus Name.
